MRS supports 40% faster installation for major construction programme

The Challenge

Unipart was asked to support the construction of new luxury apartments in London with our slim floor precast beam solution.

The apartments are located just 10 minutes walk from the iconic Wembley stadium in London, Regal London’s Fulton and Fifth residential development comprises five high rise residential towers with mixed-use retail and commercial units on the first few levels creating a vibrant live-work hub for residents.

The Solution

Unipart worked collaboratively with PCE Ltd to supply Manufacturing Reinforcement System (MRS) precast slim floor beams for the construction of two of the high-rise blocks. MRS is an optimised way to make concrete construction components stronger including beams, columns, walls and foundations.

Integrating seamlessly with PCE’s Hybrid DfMA system, beams were delivered to site ‘just in time’, ready to be hoisted and installed immediately as part of a tightly controlled site construction programme.

PCE’s site team have praised the slim floor beams for their ease of installation and increased rigidity compared with other options, which made their job easier and contributed towards a faster, safer more efficient build programme.

The total programme consisted of 15 months.
