Siranthini thrives in Unipart’s data-focused graduate programme

Siranthini, a member of Unipart’s 2024 graduate cohort, is entering the final 12 months of an 18-month programme as a graduate data scientist at Unipart company Instrumentel. The programme is designed to provide a well-rounded learning experience through real-time projects, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and sustainability through data analysis, model training, and automation.

Siranthini explained the structure of her work: “I’m currently based at Unipart company Instrumentel, an innovator in designing and supplying advanced sensor monitoring equipment, engaging in live, real-world projects.

“Having the platform to work on these diverse real-world challenges, and be part of a team that values innovation and ideas, has been amazing for my progress. The early exposure to multiple domains has reinforced my confidence in pursuing my long-term goal of becoming a lead data scientist. A mix of technical expertise, leadership development, and mentorship ensures I’m on the right path to achieving this ambition sooner than expected.”

A crucial part of Unipart’s graduate programme is ensuring support is provided at all times to optimise development and ensure a complete learning experience. Siranthini how important this has been: “The training and development Unipart provides combines technical expertise with leadership skills. Leadership workshops with graduates across different sites have enhanced my business understanding and teamwork abilities, while hands-on project work in predictive maintenance and energy insights has deepened my technical knowledge.

“Mentorship and regular progress reviews have ensured my continuous development and adaptability to new challenges. There is a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture where contributions are always valued and encouraged. I can certainly say that Unipart is an exciting place to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions – I’m really looking forward to the next chapter of this programme.”
